Applications of Custom PTFE products
Custom PTFE products are often used in chemical processing, pharmaceutical and food-contact equipment, pump and valve components, high-performance seals and gaskets, electrical insulation, sliding bearings, tank liners and precision machined parts exposed to aggressive media or wide temperature ranges. Teflon's chemical inertness, low friction, dielectric stability and thermal tolerance make it a common choice where contamination, sticking or corrosion must be minimized. PTFE may be less suitable where high structural stiffness or long-term load-bearing is required, in abrasive-wear situations, or where reliable bonding to other substrates is needed without special surface treatment.
