What are sponge rubber strips
Sponge rubber strips are flexible rubber profiles manufactured from cellular rubber with an open-cell or closed-cell structure. Unlike solid rubber strips, sponge rubber strips are compressible and designed to deform easily under light pressure.
These sponge rubber sealing strips provide effective cushioning and sealing properties and adapt well to uneven surfaces or varying tolerances.
When do you need sponge rubber strips
Sponge rubber strips are used when a soft, compressible material is required to absorb vibration, reduce noise or provide airtight or dust-tight sealing. They are particularly suitable for applications with limited clamping force.
These compressible rubber strips are typically applied in low-pressure environments and are not intended for applications involving high pressure or extreme temperatures.
Applications of sponge rubber strips
Sponge rubber strips are applied in enclosures, panels, doors, cabinets and covers in industrial equipment, HVAC systems and electrical installations. They are commonly used as sealing or cushioning strips along edges and joints.
Cellular rubber strips can be supplied in standard strip dimensions or cut to specific lengths to suit particular installation requirements.
