What are custom rubber rings?
Custom rubber rings are sealing or spacing components manufactured to specific dimensions, tolerances or material requirements. Unlike standard O-rings or flat washers, custom rubber rings are produced according to drawing, sample or technical specification.
They are used in applications where standard sizes do not provide the correct fit, compression or performance characteristics.
Custom rubber rings for industrial applications
Custom rubber rings are widely used in mechanical systems, equipment housings, machinery, vehicle components and technical assemblies. They can function as sealing rings, cushioning elements, vibration dampers or protective spacers.
Dimensions such as inner diameter, outer diameter and thickness can be tailored to match specific installation requirements.
Production options for custom rubber rings
- Manufactured to drawing or technical specification
- Cut from rubber sheets or precision die-cut
- Moulded rubber rings for higher volumes
- Custom inner and outer diameters
- Various thicknesses available
- Tight tolerances possible upon request
Available rubber materials
Custom rubber rings can be produced in different elastomer compounds depending on the operating environment:
- NBR – oil and fuel resistant
- EPDM – weather and water resistant
- FKM (Viton®) – high temperature and chemical resistance
- Silicone – wide temperature flexibility
- Neoprene (CR) – balanced mechanical properties
Custom rubber rings with specific requirements
Depending on the application, rubber rings can be supplied in different hardness levels (Shore A), colours and material grades. Reinforced or specialised compounds can be selected when mechanical stress, compression set or environmental exposure are critical factors.
