Estimate only: actual yield can vary due to cutting kerf/tool thickness (especially on thicker sheets), which may reduce usable dimensions by a few millimeters.

What are SBR rubber sheets

SBR rubber sheets, also referred to as SBR sheets or SBR rubber sheeting, are flat rubber materials manufactured from styrene butadiene rubber. This synthetic material is commonly used in general industrial environments where mechanical resilience and flexibility are required. SBR sheeting is typically applied in situations where basic rubber performance is sufficient and where exposure to oils, chemicals or outdoor conditions is limited.

When to use SBR rubber sheets

SBR rubber sheets are used in applications where resistance to abrasion and mechanical stress is more important than chemical or weather resistance. SBR sheets are suitable for dry, indoor or controlled environments where the material is not exposed to aggressive substances. The material is selected when a general-purpose rubber sheet is required for cushioning, protection or isolation purposes.

Applications of SBR rubber sheets

SBR rubber sheets are typically applied in industrial settings where mechanical wear, contact or pressure distribution plays a role. The applications below represent common usage contexts where SBR sheeting is chosen based on its physical properties rather than resistance to environmental factors.

Industry Typical application context
Industrial machinery Rubber sheeting used for cushioning or protective layers within equipment
Manufacturing Flat rubber material applied for isolation or wear protection in production environments
Material handling SBR sheets used in dry environments where abrasion resistance is required
Technical installations General-purpose rubber sheeting for non-critical sealing or isolation tasks

SBR rubber sheet Specifications

Hardness: 40–75 Shore A
Density: 0.94–1.10 g/cm³
Tensile Strength: 10–18 MPa
Elongation at Break: 250–500 %
Temperature Range: −40 °C to +90 °C
Resistance: abrasion, water

SBR rubber offers good abrasion resistance and mechanical strength, but limited resistance to oil, UV and ozone.
